PricingPrices are based on an
hourly rate. This hourly rate is
10 EUR/14 USD for patreon commissionners,
15 EUR/21 USD for repeat commissioners and
20 EUR/27 USD for first time, non patreon commissioners.
If you are a patreon commissioner: please don't forget to send me your patreon username in the notes, if your dA/patreon username is different!
Based on your pitch, I estimate the workload your image will need and offer a fee based on that estimation.
I'm usually close to my mark, but if I'm way off base:
-in your favor (the work is taking longer than I thought): you will not get any other additional charges.
-in my favor (the work was shorter than I thought): I will notify you and the second half of the bill can/will be made cheaper.
Examples: general (loose) estimated time and price ranges-B&W sketches:
1-2 hours, can be more detailed and result in a B&W illu only ->
10-50 EUR (14-68 USD)-single character focus:
2-4 hours, more with backgrounds ->
20-70 EUR (27-96 USD)-scenes: several characters, background,
8-15 hours ->
60-150 EUR (82-206 USD)All of these are dependant on: posing, rendering, number of characters, character detail and costumes, background complexity.
Process1.If you are interested: send me a note with your pitch. You can be as detailed as you want/need, and attach or link as many references as you think are necessary.
2.I'll do a price estimate based on the hours I think your idea will need. We can negociate the price to an extent, define more details about the pitch itself or the resulting commission (composition, technique, important elements, etc).
3.At this point, we'll move to emails for sending/receiving illustrations: make sure your inbox is able to receive images and notify me if there's a size limit! Also, be sure to tell me if your email adress for paypal billing is different!
4.I'll send you a first rough sketch (or several if there are multiple proposals) for composition discussion. There can, and should, be back-and-forth discussion at this point.
5.Once we agree on the sketch, I'll send a bill for half payment.
6.Once the bill is settled, I'll start working on the illustration, sending you regular updates along the way if you wish (daily, important steps only, or finished status only)
7.Once the illustration is finished, I'll send you a low-resolution JPG preview for validation purposes, along with the bill for the other half payment.
8.Once the bill is settled, I'll send you a high resolution PNG file of your illustration, either through mail or via dropbox download link. You can ask for wallpaper size versions, too.
9.Unless you notify me otherwise, I'll post the finished illustration on my galleries. That means, usually : here on dA, on tumblr, on Patreon, on Behance.
Depending on my current workload, commissions can take anything from a couple of days to 1/2 weeks. I will give you a starting/delivery estimate, and you
will be notified of updates/roadblocks.
Payment-All transactions will be made via Paypal. I will need the correct email adress to send the bills to.
-Payment is made in two halves : one after the composition sketch agreement (before starting the main work), and one after completing the illustration and sending you the low res version (before sending you the finished high res version).
-All paypal taxes are included.
-I prefer payment in Euros (EUR), but also accept dollars (USD), possibly other currencies that Paypal accepts/can convert to EUR.

-I will not do overt sexual themes or imagery, but can do pin-ups. See Note 1! Do note that I can refuse commissions if I believe I'm not up to the challenge or if the themes are not something I'm interested in.

As a general rule of thumb for what I do/don't do : ask away. If it's a complex scenes/subject matters you haven't seen posted here yet, that might just mean I'll need more time, not that I'm not willing to do it.
-Please be respectful and mindful of the time working for you takes! You can trust I will endeavor to make a final image you are satisfied with.
-The resulting image is for your
personal use : you can share the finished illustration, repost it via tumblr/facebook/whatever else (with no alterations, of course), you can print it and put it on your wall... You cannot, however, use the resulting image in any commercial way, whether through digital or print distribution.
If you wish to buy the commercial rights of the image, please notify me during the process so we can adjust the pricing accordingly!
